One of the most effective dial designs ever created, the so-called ‘Explorer’ dial, named after Rolex’s model of the same name, uses a perfect combination of Arabic and baton indexes. Its old school appeal has ensured its continued use by watch manufacturers to this day. Remarkably well preserved, this is a particularly alluring variant of Tudor’s ‘Oyster Royal’.
