Watts On Watches LTD – Policy, Terms & Conditions

  • These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and your purchase of any goods from Watts On Watches LTD (referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us”). By purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these terms. “You” refers to the customer purchasing goods from us. These terms apply to customers within the United Kingdom only unless otherwise stated.

  • 2.1 Product Condition
We specialise in the sale of pre-owned and vintage luxury watches. All watches are pre-owned unless specifically stated as “unworn” in the listing. As such, signs of wear are to be expected. These may include surface marks, scratches, or patina on components such as the case, crystal, bezel or bracelet.

Vintage watches may include original, aged components and are not sold as new items. Please refer to all images and descriptions provided in the listing before purchasing.

We do not routinely polish watches to preserve their originality. However, polishing can be arranged at your request and expense.

    2.2 Mechanical Condition
All watches are thoroughly inspected by our qualified watchmakers. If required, servicing is undertaken prior to sale using genuine manufacturer parts. We do not use aftermarket components.

Some components (e.g. gaskets, seals) may be replaced to ensure the mechanical function of the watch, especially for vintage items.

    2.3 12-Month Warranty
We offer a 12-month mechanical warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty:

    • Covers the mechanical operation of the watch.

    • Does not cover wear and tear to the case, crystal, bracelet, clasp, crown or pushers.

    • Does not cover water damage, misuse, or damage caused by unauthorised intervention.

The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Any unauthorised service, tampering or modification will void the warranty.

  • 3.1 Deposits on In-Stock Items

    • A non-refundable deposit of at least 10% is required to reserve an in-stock item.

    • The item will be held for a maximum of 7 calendar days, during which the selling price will remain fixed.

    • After 7 days, we reserve the right to reprice the item in line with current market conditions.

    • Deposits are non-refundable but can be applied as credit against another item.

    3.2 Watch Sourcing Services
If you instruct us to source a watch:

    • A 10% deposit of the expected value of the watch is required to begin the sourcing process and bring the watch into stock.

    • Once the watch has been sourced, full payment is required before the watch is released and handed over.

    • A 10% sourcing service fee is included in the final price. This covers our time, administration, procurement costs, and any necessary maintenance for locating and committing to the purchase. This sourcing service fee is non-refundable.

    • If the watch is returned due to a manufacturing issue within 14 days, we will repair the item under warranty.

    • Returns are not accepted for any reason after 14 days from delivery.

If we are unable to source the watch, or if the watch is rejected by our internal quality control, we will issue a full refund.

If you choose not to proceed with the purchase after we have sourced the item, it will be returned to general sale. You will not be eligible for a refund but your payment can be used as credit towards other goods.

We reserve the right to amend quoted prices after 7 days due to market fluctuations.

  • 4.1 Right to Cancel (UK Customers Only)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the item.

To exercise this right, you must:

    • Notify us of your intention to cancel within the 14-day period.

    • Return the item to us in the same condition within 7 days of cancellation.

This right applies to UK customers only and does not apply to items sourced on request or customised in any way.

4.2 Return Costs & Restocking Fee
If you are returning an item under the cancellation right:

    • You are responsible for return shipping and full insurance in transit.

    • A £100 restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

    • Outbound shipping fees are non-refundable.

All returned items must be in the same condition as when sold, unworn, and with any stickers, packaging, or accessories intact. Watches showing wear, tampering, or unauthorised adjustments will not be accepted for return.

4.3 International Clients: Returns & Warranty Policy
Customers purchasing from outside the United Kingdom (including the United States) are not covered under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. As such, we are not legally required to accept international returns unless:

    • The item is faulty, or

    • The item is not as described, or

    • We have explicitly agreed to do so in writing or within our terms and conditions.

    International Returns Policy
We do not offer returns for buyer’s remorse or changes of mind to customers outside the UK. If you are purchasing from overseas, please ensure you are confident in the condition and suitability of the watch before purchase.

However, we do honour returns in the following limited cases:

    • The item received is faulty (i.e., not functioning as described)

    • The item is materially different from the description on our website

    In such cases:

    • You must contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery with full details and supporting evidence (photos or video).

    • If a return is authorised, you are responsible for:

      • Return shipping costs

      • Insurance during transit

      • All customs documentation and ensuring the parcel is correctly marked as a "Returned Item"

      • Any customs fees, duties or VAT charged on re-entry into the UK due to incorrect labelling

We strongly recommend marking all returns clearly as "RETURNED GOODS – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE" to avoid unnecessary import fees. Any additional fees charged to us on re-import due to buyer mislabelling will be deducted from any approved refund.

    Faulty Items
If the item is found to be faulty and covered under warranty (see Section 2.3), we will repair or refund at our discretion. Where a refund is approved, the refund will exclude:

    • Outbound shipping

    • Any sourcing fees (if applicable)

Returns Not Accepted for Buyer’s Remorse
We do not accept returns from international buyers for:

    • Change of mind

    • Buyer’s remorse

    • Cosmetic dissatisfaction if accurately described/listed

All international sales are considered final, unless the item is faulty or misrepresented.

  • We offer secure, tracked, and insured international shipping via FedEx or DHL.

    International customers are responsible for:

    • Selecting the correct international shipping option at checkout

    • All import duties, customs taxes, VAT or fees related to the delivery of goods into your country

Failure to pay customs fees may result in the item being returned or destroyed. Any fees or losses incurred in this process are the responsibility of the buyer.m description
