These pieces replaced the 5500 which was a watch that was loved by collectors for over 25 years. However, this new 14010 brought a selection of fantastic upgrades. Not only did the Air-King 14010 introduce a sapphire crystal to the collection and the then-new Caliber 3000 movement, the same movement used in the Rolex Explorer, the 14010 also introduced the very popular engine turned dial which was new to the collection.
