I really hope I look as good as this watch does when I am over 70 years old. This 1947 Omega Arabic Numeral 13322 comes with a 34mm stainless steel case made by Dennison, engraved on the inside of the case back you will see a ALD hallmark. A.L.Dennison moved to Birmingham in the late 1800’s, they were known for producing high-quality watch cases and Omega commissioned them to produce some of their cases. Many of Omega’s finest cases are made by Dennison.
The Tropical dial is a very distinctive and highly sought after feature on this watch and it is created by a reaction on the dial by many years of exposure to the sun's UV rays, this helps the watch develop a beautiful natural patina over many years. The Arabic numerals and arrow hands are coated and filled with radium lume. The watch also sports a sub-second register at 6 o’clock with radial patternation. The watch utiles a manually wound Omega Cal. 30T2 movement beating at 18,000 beats per hour and is highly regarded by collectors for its work horse capabilities. The Cal. 30 movements were first produced in the early 20th century in 1939 and ran until 1963, these are very desirable in the vintage Omega scene.
