This is a beautifully refined Omega Seamaster De Ville, and one of those watches where the dial completely defines the piece.
The Ref. 165.020SC is already a wonderfully elegant reference, sitting in that sweet spot between classic Seamaster practicality and De Ville dress watch refinement. This example takes things much further thanks to its 18K pink gold case and rare tropical gloss dial.
Originally black, the dial has aged naturally into a deep brown tropical tone. Under light, it shifts between glossy black, warm chocolate and rich tobacco brown, creating a level of depth that standard dials simply cannot offer. The gilt text, gold hour markers and matching gold hands work beautifully against the dial, giving the watch a warm, cohesive look that feels properly special.
The 34mm 18K pink gold case adds further charm. Pink gold has a softer, warmer tone than yellow gold, and it complements the tropical dial perfectly. The result is elegant, subtle and incredibly tasteful.
