We love a double signed dial, so we had to find and offer another Omega Constellation with a rather rare Meister signed dial. This time it is a Pie Pan 14393-61SC. This model, from 1961, features an Omega Chronometer certified automatic 561 Calibre movement, known in the 60s for its accuracy and reliability.
The watch has a case size of 35mm, making it a comfortable vintage fit for all wrists. The dial is a silver Pie-Pan crosshair dial, a distinctive feature of many Constellation watches in the 1950s and 1960s. The dial also features an applied Omega logo and is double signed with “Meister”, a prestigious Swiss jeweller founded in 18813.
A double-signed dial usually bears the name of the retailer on the dial, shedding light on where the watch was sold and telling us about the larger relationship between a manufacturer and its retail network. In this case, the “Meister” signature indicates that this watch was sold through Meister jewellers, adding an extra layer of history.
The watch is fitted with an acrylic crystal and comes with the original Constellation crown. It is paired with a black leather strap, adding a touch of elegance and versatility to the piece.
The Omega Constellation, first introduced in 1952, was the flagship watch from Omega for several decades. The Constellation got its name from the emblem on the caseback, which shows an observatory with eight stars above it. The eight stars symbolize two chronometer records, and six first-place awards that Omega earned between 1933 and 1952.
The 14393 reference is a part of this illustrious lineage, carrying forward the tradition of precision and elegance that the Constellation line is known for.
