This watch is a collectors dream. The square faced icon. The design is signature Monaco, right down to the vintage HEUER logo at 12 o’clock. As ahead of its time today as it was when it first appeared on Steve McQueen’s wrist in the race film classic Le Mans. This watch pays tribute to the legendary icon and is complete with all the nods a Steve McQueen fan could wish for. It sports his signature on the caseback and the Monaco blue dial dial is the same iconic colour as the original from 1969 (a very distinct feature of this limited edition model compared to other Monaco pieces.) This piece was limited by TAG Heuer to only 1000 pieces in 2009 and is now extremely sought after with currently only 3 pieces available for purchase worldwide.
