Arguably the most undervalued vintage Chronograph on the market. Breitling introduced the Top Time chronograph in 1964 as an entry-level chronograph, initially using less expensive materials and movements compared to other collections such as the Navitimer, the Top Time family was launched to appeal to a new, younger audience. However, in 1970, Breitling gave the Top Time range the ultra premium touch and introduced this, the Top Time Long Playing.

Frequently seen in steel cases, the 38mm diameter is a fantastic vintage size for modern collectors, not too small but perfectly proportioned for a vintage feel, arguably wearing much larger. The 815 was introduced in 1970, and it was among the second generation of Top Time models. This version has one of the most compelling dial colours, the Ice Blue silver sunburst three-register panda dial design, with sub-dials featuring a concentric ring. While the older, entry level generation of Top Time chronographs used a Venus 178 movement (still a fantastic movement), Breitling introduced the 815 with the iconic Valjoux 7736 movement. A considerable step up. The new movement allowed for a longer power reserve of up to 52 hours and the capability to record up to 12 hours via the six o'clock register.
