A wonderful entry level into vintage Breitling with a rare and unique dial, the perfect conversation piece. In the 50’s and 60’s, Breitling were one of the go to brands for reliable tool watches, particularly Chronographs. This wonderful 1198 captures the 1950’s Breitling aesthetic but offers it with a wonderful and rare black gilt dial, a much rarer find compared to the traditional silver dials found in these pieces. On top of this, the Venus 188 manual wind movement is keeping incredible time and offers a wonderful, sharp and clean chronograph complication. With minimal signs of wear on the pushers and gold PVD case, this watch is in great original vintage condition considering it is nearly 70 years old!
